Privacy Policy

About this policy

Montenegro Studio is the business name used by Luis Guillermo Montenegro Palacio, an individual operating from Barranquilla, Colombia. This policy covers montenegrostudio.io and the studio's own prospective-client and business communications. It is not a substitute for a client's privacy notice or an agreed data-processing contract.

For privacy matters, email luis@montenegrostudio.io or call +57 300 229 4816.

Information we handle

We receive the details you submit through contact forms, scheduling tools and correspondence, such as your name, email, business name, website and project description. Appointment information includes details you provide to Cal and information about the scheduled call.

Website measurement can include pages visited, referral sources, browser and device information, interactions and cookie identifiers. Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, sensitive information or unnecessary information about others.

Purposes and authorization

We use inquiry information to respond, assess project requirements, prepare proposals, schedule calls and manage business relationships. We also use analytics to evaluate and improve the website. We do not currently use inquiry details for newsletters or promotional email campaigns.

Where authorization or another legal basis is required, the relevant requirement applies to that processing. Reading this policy, using the site or accepting website terms is not blanket authorization for every purpose. Contact-form authorization concerns your inquiry and is separate from analytics.

Analytics and your choices

The site uses Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager. In the current configuration, no first-visit analytics banner is displayed and analytics may start automatically unless an existing saved rejection or a supported browser privacy signal blocks it.

You can open Cookie settings to disable future studio-controlled analytics. Disabling analytics after it has loaded reloads the page; save any form text first. This does not erase data already received by Google. See the Cookie Policy for further details. Search Console is used to review Google Search performance and is not a separate on-site tracking tag.

Service providers and international processing

We use Webflow for hosting and form submissions, Google Workspace for correspondence and business records, Cal for appointments, Google Analytics and Tag Manager for measurement, and OpenAI Codex for assistance with business communications. These providers process information in delivering their services.

The studio operates in Colombia. External providers may process information outside your country, where legal protections may differ. Contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your records. This notice does not itself authorize an otherwise restricted international transfer.

AI assistance and meeting summaries

Codex may be used to help prepare replies or proposals. Material provided to it may include names and occasionally email addresses. The studio currently uses a personal ChatGPT Pro account; this policy does not promise enterprise-account protections or exclusion from model improvement.

Google tools may generate summaries of business calls. Summarization processes meeting content even when no video recording is made. Ask before a call if you have concerns about AI assistance or meeting summaries so that the handling of your information can be discussed. This policy is not a substitute for any required meeting notice or consent.

Retention and security

The studio is introducing a retention schedule of twelve months after the last contact for inquiries that do not become projects and associated meeting summaries. Implementation and review of older records are ongoing; automatic deletion across all providers is not represented as complete.

Client records and information needed for legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of claims may require separate retention. Provider backups and provider-controlled records may follow different schedules. Contact us about a specific record or deletion request.

Luis is currently the only person within the studio who accesses inquiry records. External providers also process the information needed for their services. No online system offers absolute security.

Your rights and requests

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, updating or deletion, withdraw authorization, object to processing, or ask for proof of authorization and information about use. We may request proportionate identity verification. Lawful retention requirements and other applicable exceptions may limit deletion.

Send requests to luis@montenegrostudio.io. Under Colombian law, access inquiries are generally answered within ten business days, with a reasoned extension of up to five additional business days where permitted. Claims are generally addressed within fifteen business days from the day after receipt, with a reasoned extension of up to eight additional business days where permitted. The applicable rules for incomplete requests also apply.

You may contact Colombia's Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio after completing the required prior inquiry or claim procedure. Rights, deadlines and access to regulators under other applicable laws remain unaffected. Analytics acceptance is not a condition for making a privacy request.

Changes

We may revise this policy to reflect changes in practices or legal requirements. Changes apply prospectively. Where additional notice or authorization is required, updating this page alone does not replace it.
